Customer service second to none

Mr and Mrs Roy chose Court Homemakers to replace their dated kitchen – and couldn’t have imagined the level of service and attention to detail the Court Homemakers team put into the project.

Why did you choose Court Homemakers?

Our original kitchen was built into the house around 15 years ago, so it was time for a change. We had a basic idea of what we wanted, and we invited a couple of companies to quote. It was Court Homemakers who presented the best plan to deliver what we wanted, and then some! There were ‘extra bits’ in their design which made a difference to our decision. We felt we just couldn’t go anywhere else because they interpreted our brief so brilliantly and then, when they said they would complete the work in three weeks and that they’d handle everything, that sealed the deal!

Can you describe the space you were working with?

The kitchen looks out onto the garden. It’s quite a big space, perfect for getting the family together or hosting a party.

How did Court Homemakers help?

Court Homemakers managed the whole process, from start to finish. The focal point of the kitchen was an island at the centre. We wanted to keep it, so Court Homemakers made it bigger – too big, I thought originally. Now I love it! It still provides the focal point, but it also now offers loads of storage thanks to the pull-out pantry cupboard and the curved corner cupboards at one end. I can’t fill all the space they’ve created and, best of all, the island is home to the induction hob which replaced our previous range cooker. I wouldn’t have thought of putting the induction hob there, but it works so well. Court Homemakers also designed and made a bespoke shelving unit to fill a gap in the corner, which is perfect too!

What style of kitchen did you choose?

We chose Shaker-style units in off-white and taupe with off-white quartz work surfaces and grey/brown granite on the island. We wanted a wine cooler, a built-in fridge-freezer and built-in ovens/appliances. The dining area and adjusting-height lighting completed the look.

What’s your favourite feature?

The two big tower ovens and built-in microwave. The kitchen also feels so much bigger than it did originally, which is great.

How do you feel about the kitchen now that it’s finished?

It was finished in three weeks, exactly. In fact, everything from start to finish has been done exactly as Court Homemakers said it would be. Their ability to understand what we wanted, overlay their ideas and deliver something that really worked for us was excellent. We can’t fault them! I know they say ‘Court Homemakers, the name says it all and we are the company that does it all’ – but they really do. I can’t recommend them and their customer service highly enough.
