Sleek, stylish and spacious!

Tired of their existing kitchen and wanting a refresh, this client turned to the team at Court Homemakers and what a result!

Having lived with their existing kitchen for a while, they wanted their new room to feel welcoming and bright. The client felt that the room could be overbearing and, given the time they were spending in there, they wanted a softer, more comforting feel to what still needed to be a very functional space.

Our team knew that colour and design were key, so a Shaker-style kitchen was chosen, popular for its uncluttered, sleek and stylish appearance. Combined with Fitzroy cupboard doors in porcelain and modern Corian Neutral Aggregate worktops, the cashmere coloured internals for the furniture created the light and spacious look the client desired. The team also suggested curved corners to ensure a softer feel to make the room so much more welcoming. Both the utility and the kitchen reflected the same design to link the rooms more closely together.

From a functionality perspective, storage space was maximised with the utilisation of a part of the room that previously was left bare. A huge walk-in corner pantry cupboard was introduced which, as well as providing a really practical adjunct to the kitchen, meant the client could keep all of their essentials in one place, readily to hand, yet hidden from view, so maintaining the clean, uncluttered, comfortable feel.

The kitchen’s sleek and minimalistic finish was accentuated by using plenty of downlights. A host of NEFF appliances complete the room and the client chose a Quooker hot tap, which is both energy efficient and space saving and removes the need for a kettle (even more decluttering!).

Ryan and the team at Court Homemakers took care of the entire renovation, removing all of the existing furniture and flooring and then installing electrics, plumbing, flooring, skimming etc. which took away the stress from the client of having to coordinate everything. A beautiful Karndean Limed Oak floor was fitted, which perfectly complements the furniture’s neutral tones.

And the end result? The client is over the moon with their new kitchen, especially the walk-in pantry, with the whole experience beyond what they expected! They are absolutely delighted, and who wouldn’t be?
