One More Time

Two decades on from a previous successful project, the Riley family once again turned to Court Homemakers for expert help and advice on an ambitious kitchen and bathroom project.

When the Rileys decided to get a new kitchen and bathroom fitted in their three-story detached home, they knew exactly who to contact. Court Homemakers had replaced a kitchen for them 18 years ago and the experience was so good they didn’t want to risk using anyone else.

“The thing about Court Homemakers is they project manage the whole job, meaning you don’t have to worry about it,” comments Mrs Riley. “You get a start date and an end date, which in our experience they stick to, and they keep you informed of the progress along the way. Their interpretation of our ideas was brilliant as was their workmanship. They were just totally professional from beginning to end.”

The Rileys originally had a kitchen and utility area. They wanted to extend the kitchen into the utility, block up a door and add a window. When the building work was complete, attention turned to fitting the kitchen with stone-coloured doors and white with stone quartz worktops, which complement the Blanco sink perfectly. An island was added along with Karndean flooring to complete the look.

“My favourite part of the kitchen is the island, which was suggested by Michael the kitchen designer,” says Mrs Riley. “I really enjoy cooking and the island is perfectly placed to extend the work area available and give me extra storage. I love it! Having everything to hand when you need it makes everything so much easier.”

The clean lines and minimalistic feel continue in the bathroom, where the bath was replaced with a walk-in shower, which, along with the tiles, bath, and toilet, were all suggested by Sam, the bathroom designer.

“Michael, Sam and Chris (Project Manager/Director) make a great team,” Mrs Riley continues. “They just get it so right. We found ourselves doing exactly what they suggested and it’s really worked for us. They took our ideas, interpreted them and the result is even better than we could have imagined.”
